Relevance
Search engines use complex algorithms to rank web pages by relevance. Sites listed by a search engine such as Google are chosen based on their merits, with more relevant sites ranked higher than less relevant ones. You can increase the relevance of your content using organic SEO to give your webpage a higher search ranking result.
Keywords
Keywords are the foundation on which organic SEO is built. Using the right keywords is the basic tenet of SEO. Relevant and competitive keywords are more likely to bring you more traffic. By using the proper keyword frequency, high keyword density and placing keywords in prominent areas such as the title, metatag and the start of sentences, you can increase traffic to your site.
Content
Organic SEO relies on good content to work effectively. Some sites simply list keywords to gain page ranking, but good content offers readers quality, well written articles with keywords used naturally within the work. Organic SEO is often so subtle that website visitors do not notice repeating keywords.
Optimization
Smaller SEO tricks include optimizing your page for keywords such as using keyword within picture titles, having good page navigation tools such as a sitemap or a search function, and using bold text blocks. Having a sitemap helps crawlers and search engines index your pages faster, leading to a better page rank.
Backlinks
Backlinks from other sites are considered good organic SEO because it adds to your site’s search page rank. The more backlinks your site obtains from other relevant and related websites, the higher your page will rank on search engine results. However, be wary of too many backlinks - search engines only rank websites with links to other sources that contain relevant content.
Grouping pages by theme
If you group the pages on your site by related themes, you will increase your relevancy to search engines. By grouping related pages together in larger collections, bots and spiders can index your site faster and this can lead to a higher page rank on search engine results.

Third place position for a keyword will be the same, and will not change because of the instant search. But this set up could affect the way how many people search. People will have to adapt this fine tuning style of search, people will bypass your site when they search for something more accurate. But good SEO’s will maintain the same techniques which got them the positions for keywords, but over the time they will adapt to how their pages and titles have to be to make them more attractive for the modern searcher. This will lead to greater importance for long tail key phrases when people pinpoint their search to a more brief level.

Many advertisers start to worry at this area, the good news is that the instant search is not going to directly affect you CTR, and the bad news is that it could indirectly affect it. The new feature’s effects are still unclear. But, search engine optimization (SEO) experts should monitor selected areas of their campaign just to be safe.

Google Instant Changes the SEO Game
Google actually foreshadowed Google Instant a day or two before its release with an odd Google Doodle – a Google logo composed entirely of balls that moved when your cursor hovered over them, but settled down when you stopped moving your mouse. The company's only explanation for the mysterious logo was that it symbolized how they thought search should be: fast, fun, and interactive. That's what Google Instant is supposed to be.
As Search Engine World pointed out, however, Google has been building toward this service for a long time. Google Instant combines improved spelling corrections, universal search results, Google Suggest and more (even the Google MentalPlex April Fool's joke) into a search that appears to all but read your mind as you type in your query.
Currently, Google Instant is only available to users in the US, and to signed-in users in France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain and the U.K. Users must also have the latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or IE 8, and be searching from Google's main search page (not the browser toolbar). Even if you meet all of these requirements, you might not get to see Google Instant just yet; “Google Instant not working” has been a popular search on Google lately, and (as of this writing) while I've been able to see it since rollout, my direct boss, who works in the same state and is more tech savvy than I am, hasn't been able to make it work for him.
For the benefit of those who haven't seen it yet, let me explain how it works. Simply go to Google and start typing in a word. The second you start typing, well before you finish your query, Google starts popping out search results in an effort to predict what you're searching for. The results are dynamic; they change with every letter you type in.

Top Tips for SEO - The do's and don'ts of SEO.
In simple terms, SEO is the process of improving the visibility of a web site or page in search engines using natural or algorithmic search results. The higher up the page a site appears, the more visitors it will have in theory, which is why the 'dark art' of SEO, as some call it, has become so prolific in recent years.
The process of Search Engine Optimisation involves spending time researching, learning and improving your SEO processes, and there are plenty of on-line guides which will tell you how to go about it yourself. Google help is a great place to start for some simple pointers.
However, dependent of the amount of time and money you have available, you may wish to employ an SEO specialist to assist you with this.
Don't be sucked in by any companies that tell you they can get you to the top of the Google rankings for a one-off £100 payment. This is simply not true, as the process is one which is ongoing, and requires more time and attention than a single transaction to maintain good rankings.
Also, never be tempted to employ an SEO agency which may use questionable or underhand SEO methods. Google is extremely stringent at checking things like 'black hat' SEO - embedding camouflaged keywords within the background colour of a homepage, and other commonly attempted tricks, and will detect these methods and send users right to the bottom of the rankings if detected.
Think of SEO as similar to car maintenance, you get in what you put in, and you can do it yourself, but you need to research the process properly to ensure you are doing it correctly.
As a general guide, if we are working with a client on SEO, we recommend choosing around five to ten key phrases, and we will then spend four or five hours a week optimising these phrases and making the home page 'SEO friendly'. Working on
1)Identify the best keywords for your business and in turn, website
2)Analyse your competitors and what they are doing
3)Content is king, make it relevant and embed your keywords within the text. This should happen naturally and the keywords should not be shoehorned in
4)Optimise your page and browser titles
5)Optimise your page headings and sub-headings. Use correct web format H1s, then H2s etc
6)Use titles and ALT tags for embedded content (images, videos) so they can be indexed
7)Submit an XML sitemap to Google
8)Use 301 re-directs to reduce what search engines will perceive as duplicate content (same page, two URLs)
9)If redeveloping an existing website or launching a new one, ensure that 301 re-directs are used to direct old URLs to new URLs, otherwise the search engines will see dead links.
10)Begin to develop a link build strategy with partners around the web.

Facebook Is Now More Popular Than Google
According to statistics released by comScore, the average internet user dedicates nearly 10% of his/her online time keeping up to speed with friends, colleagues and their favourite brands on Facebook.
This makes Facebook the single most popular website on the internet and the figure does not include additional time spent on other major social media sites.
ComScore found that Americans spent a total of 41.1 million minutes using Facebook, in contrast to 39.8 million minutes browsing the world's largest search engine. As such, Americans spend 9.6% of their online time using Google, as opposed to 9.9% on Facebook.
Google may have reason to worry, as comScore's figures do not simply take into account the amount of time spent typing keywords into a search engine, but also all major Google-supported websites, such as Gmail and even YouTube.

Surfers Spend More Time on Facebook Than All of Google
The Facebook–Google rivalry just got a little meatier. comScore has announced figures that show in August, US users have spent more time on Facebook than on all Google sites, YouTube included, reports PC World.
People spent a total of 41.1 million minutes on Facebook, equaling 10% of the total time spent online. The amount of time also edges out Google’s figure, who commanded only 39.7 million minutes. This would include all of Google’s properties like Mail, YouTube, Google News, and so on.

SEO Not Affected by Partial 'Google Instant' Keywords
Google said Friday that Internet marketers shouldn't change their SEO strategies to account for partially-typed keywords using Google's new Google Instant feature.
Google Instant returns search entries for each and every letter typed, so that "f" produces a page of links beginning with "Facebook," while "fl" leads off the page with "Flickr". Some had begun speculating that SEO marketers would need to concentrate on partially-typed keywords, betting that users typing in "res" would be searching for "restaurant" rather than "resume" or "Restoration Hardware".
But Alden DeSoto, a member of the Google Analytics team, said that SEO marketers shouldn't change their strategies, at least where that particular facet of Instant was concerned.

Does Google Instant Mark the End of SEO?
A reporter (I believe she was from AdAge) attending Google's Q&A about Google Instant pointed out that the new search feature tends to favor big brands. This isn't really surprising, as it is these brands that are more likely to be searched for most often. After all, they're big because people know them.
iCrossing has a list of brands that come up when you enter each letter of the alphabet (not all are brands, but many are). A is for Amazon (not Apple), B is for Bank of America, M is for Mapquest (not Microsoft), N is for Netflix, P is for Pandora, V is for Verizon, and Y is for Yahoo.
You must keep in mind, however, that the instant results are personalized. Google takes into account things like your location and your surfing habits when providing you results.
